Same town, different doors
This is not a prediction you must believe. It is what the next decade looks like if today’s direction mostly holds. Ask what you would accept, and what you would not.
- Same sidewalk. Your ID is what opens or closes a door.
- Regular grocery: Access Denied. Smaller store for limited accounts: Approved. Fewer products, not better prices.
- If you have paid work, it is often care, repair, showing up in person, or watching over the human–AI setup. A lot of other work is software plus a benefits account with rules.
- School buildings still exist for kids who need a place to be. People who will not use the required AI tool are not locked in a hospital. They have a more limited account.
- Old money lost value in the switch to a new system. It was described as an upgrade, not as a default.
- Phones and glasses feel new. The houses, roads, and power station still look like this town.

A working mix
Software runs more of daily systems. People still have to run themselves. Care for others still matters. Some doors open. Some say Access Denied.

Courts, companies, and stories still argue over the rules. That fight can stay in law. Open war is not the default picture.
